The Kitzsteinhorn is about 15 minutes away from Schloss Saalhof. Snow-sure skiing is possible here all year round (except August).

Ski winter in Zell am See – Kaprun
The Zell am See-Kaprun ski pass is the key to 53 cable cars and lifts and 138 kilometers of slopes in Kaprun and Zell am See.

In addition to the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area, there are also the Maiskogel and Lechnerberg family ski areas in Kaprun and the Schmittenhöhe in Zell am See. The ski bus service in and between the towns is free.
