Hiking between mighty peaks and gentle pastures

Even in midsummer, the ice of the glaciers still glitters from the peaks of the three-thousanders. The magnificent mountain panorama can be enjoyed on a hike to one of the easily accessible alpine pastures, where you should treat yourself to a hearty alpine snack with a “Selberbrennt’n” stamperl. Maishofen is located in a wide valley basin. Walkers who feel more comfortable on the flat will find worthwhile destinations here as well as those who are drawn higher into the mountains.

Guided hikes are organized weekly in the months of June to September.

Musical hikes to the Kammereggalm take place in July and August, where, after a leisurely walk, a folk music group plays for you during a hearty alpine snack.

During your holiday, with the guest card, one free round-trip cable car ride for the entire family is included per stay with the following cable cars:

Tips:

Hiking boots and rainwear (always!) are urgently required. Storms can occur in the mountains. Hat, sunscreen and sunglasses – very important. Always take a backpack (preferably everyone, then the individual does not have to carry so much – for families) and take something to eat with you. Drinks should be taken in sufficient quantity. Drinks that are not too sweet will make you even more thirsty.

Please only have breakfast as usual, rather a little less… and take something with you.
