If you want to immerse yourself in the original life of farmers 200 years ago or live in harmony with nature for a while, you are sure to feel at home in the original and rustic atmosphere of the Hochalm at 1700 meters above sea level in the middle of the mountains of Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
Approx. 100 young cattle and calves as well as 10 horses from our own and other breeders graze on 140 hectares of alpine pasture.
As our alpine pasture in Saalbach-Hinterglemm is large enough for hunting, it is also possible to go stalking with our hunter!
In winter, this hut is only accessible on touring skis, as it is completely snowed in!
Our weekly hiking excursion to the Hochalm from mid-July to the end of August already offers a little foretaste…
In the midst of the magnificent and untouched mountain world in the province of Salzburg in the Saalbach – Hinterglemm region lie our two alpine pastures – a top starting point for easier high-altitude hikes as well as for more challenging summit tours, e.g. to the Geißstein, the Murnauer Scharte, the Schusterkogel and the Hochtorsee, etc.
You will be rewarded for your efforts with a view of the Tauern mountains, including the Großglockner.
Here you have found the ideal place to relax in absolute peace and quiet – apart from the sound of cowbells – and leave everyday life behind…
