If you want to immerse yourself in the original life of farmers 200 years ago or live in harmony with nature for a while, you are sure to feel at home in the original and rustic atmosphere of the Hochalm at 1700 meters above sea level in the middle of the mountains of Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
Approximately 100 young cattle and calves as well as 10 horses from our own and third-party rearing graze on 140 hectares of alpine pasture.
Since our alpine pasture in Saalbach-Hinterglemm is big enough to hunt, a stalking tour with our hunter is also possible!
In winter, this hut can only be reached with touring skis, as it is completely covered in snow!
A small taste is already offered by our weekly hiking excursion from mid-July to the end of August to the high alpine pasture…
In the midst of the magnificent and untouched mountain world in the province of Salzburg in the Saalbach – Hinterglemm region lie our two alpine pastures – a top starting point for easier high-altitude hikes as well as for more challenging summit tours, e.g. to the Geißstein, the Murnauer Scharte, the Schusterkogel and the Hochtorsee, etc.
You will be rewarded for this effort with a view of the Tauern, including the Großglockner.
Here you have found the ideal place to relax in absolute peace – apart from the ringing of cowbells – and to leave everyday life behind…
