The Backstube in the Moarhaus

The namesake and the highlight of this apartment is the original brick wood bread oven , which is illuminated in the background of the ” Rachkuchl “. The rustic brick kitchen vault is blackened by the soot from the bread oven.

For centuries, all the bread for the more than 20 servants and the large farming family in the castle was baked here for centuries. Mind you only 30 loaves every 2 weeks, nowadays hardly anyone would eat stale bread.

Another highlight is the conservatory in the back of the second bedroom with an oversized picture window . From the comfortable couch or the originally attached hanging chair , the view sweeps over the surrounding grassy mountains, such as the Schwalbenwand.

A material mix of old wood floorboards in the kitchen, hand-made furniture and floorboards from our light birch forest, stone washbasins in the bathrooms, and glass ensure traditional cosiness and yet modern comfort:

1 living room/bedroom with double bed (180×200 cm) and sofa (can be converted into a double bed with a full mattress 160 x 200 cm), panoramic window with a view of the surrounding grassy mountains with blackout blinds, blackout curtains in dark red, swiveling flat screen satellite TV, hanging chair

· Bright, friendly bathroom with walk-in shower, stone washbasin with attached wash bowl, window, make-up mirror, soap, shampoo

· Separate toilet , skylight through glass wall in the upper part of the walls

· Kitchen with seating area in the vault of the original “Rauchkuchl”, in the background the original brick wooden bread oven, which is illuminated, old wood floor: fully equipped solid wood kitchen made of birch wood and kitchen worktop made of Rauris stone with induction cooker, oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, kettle, coffee machine and espresso machine (with Tchibo coffee tabs).
