The heating and hot water in all rooms of Schloss Saalhof are powered by our own wood chip plant “Biowärme Saalhof”. Of course, the wood chips come from our own production in our forests. Biowärme Saalhof supplies the castle and 5 other customers in the immediate vicinity with its environmentally friendly district heating. The heating plant itself is energy self-sufficient: The power consumption of the heating plant is obtained entirely from the sun’s energy from the company’s own photovoltaic system.
So you can turn on the hot water a little longer every now and then without a guilty conscience… because a vacation at Schloss Saalhof means an environmentally friendly, sustainable vacation!
